Scott Wordelman
President & CEO
Scott Wordelman has been president and CEO of Fairview Red Wing Health Services since its creation in November 1997. Prior to assuming the leadership of Fairview Red Wing, he served as CEO of Chisago Health Services, known today as Fairview Lakes Regional Health Care. He has experience in hospital/physician integration; development of regionally focused health care encompassing clinics, hospitals, home health, long term care.  He also served as administrator of a hospital and nursing home in Baudette, MN.

Wordelman graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and studied health care administration at the University of Minnesota's ISP program. He is a resident of Red Wing and currently chair of Red Wing 2020, serves on the Red Wing Area United Way Board and is a former board member of the Red Wing YMCA, the Red Wing Boy's Basketball Association, and the Chamber of Commerce Board, Noon Time Kiwanis, and is a member of United Lutheran Church.

Wordelman is married to Donna who teaches in the Red Wing Public Schools.  They have two sons, Ryan who attends Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota; and Brent a student at Red Wing High School.

Wordelman served as Chair of the Minnesota Hospital Association and was a member of the MHA board from 1992 to 1999. He also has represented Minnesota's hospitals on the Regional Policy Board of the American Hospital Association.   

 Jack Alexander, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Jack W. Alexander, M.D., has been the chief medical officer since November 1997. He is an internist by training, and continues to practice part time. His management responsibilities include physician and provider recruitment and retention, quality of care and patient safety, and strategic planning. He also serves on the Fairview Corporate Credentialing Committee, the Clinical Excellence Committee and the Medical Leadership Committee.
Alexander received his M.D. degree from the University of New Mexico and completed his internships and residency programs at the University of Minnesota Hospital. Prior to that time, he received his masters degree at Harvard University, and his bachelors degree from the University of New Mexico.
Other work experience includes medical director of government programs at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota from 1993 to 1994, and medical director at Blue Plus from 1994 to 1995. He was the medical director at Interstate Medical Center prior to the merger of Interstate and River Region Health Services, which formed Fairview Red Wing Health Services. He served on the board of directors of the Institute of Health Care Improvement from 1998 to 2001.

Alexander and his wife have three children and have made Red Wing their home since 1984.

Mike Larson
Vice-president and Chief Financial Officer

Mike Larson has served as vice president and chief financial officer for Fairview Red Wing Health Services since 2000. He has served in a variety of roles since joining Interstate Medical Center in 1988. Larson was controller and chief financial officer for Interstate Medical Center from 1988 to 1997. Following the formation of Fairview Red Wing Health Services, he became vice president of systems integration where his primary responsibilities were planning for the new integrated medical center, integrating salary and benefit programs and planning information systems for Fairview Red Wing Health Services.
Larson graduated from Mankato State University, Mankato, MN, with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He is a certified public accountant and practiced in public accounting for eight years prior to joining Fairview Red Wing Health Services. Larson served on many local boards including the United Way, United Lutheran Church Council, Red Wing Boy” Basketball Association and Red Wing Country Club. He is currently serving on the Hedin-Hartnagel Memorial Fund Board, the Red Wing Area Chamber of Commerce Board,  and is a member of the Red Wing Lion's Club.
With recent investments in technology, facilities, and expanded medical staff,  Fairview Red Wing Health Services is well positioned to meet many of the  challenges facing the Health Care industry, say Larson.

Janice Graner
 Vice-president of business and community development
The vice-president’s role is to build stronger connections with the communities served by Fairview Red Wing, explore and develop new business opportunities and service initiatives. Graner came to Fairview Red Wing from the Mayo Foundation. Most recently she has been the senior administrator for the Mayo Clinic Operations Coordinating Group. Her past roles with Mayo Clinic, Rochester include being the senior administrator for major clinical Departments and governance committees, chair of the Mayo Clinic Human Resources employment division and manager of clinical dietetics. She has extensive experience in clinical operations, strategic planning and implementation, recruiting, equipment acquisition, fiscal and project management and quality improvement.

Nancy Dimunation
Vice president and Chief Nursing Officer
 
Nancy Dimunation came to Fairview Red Wing from Fairview Lakes Medical Center. She was director of inpatient services there for 11 years, responsible for the operations and strategic direction of the Birthplace, intensive care, medical/surgical care, respiratory care, house supervisors and the staffing office. She holds a masters degree from the University of Minnesota in health care administration and a BA in nursing from Metropolitan State University. The chief nursing officer is a new position at Fairview Red Wing. The role of the chief nursing officer is to work collaboratively with the chief medical officer, Jack Alexander, M.D. to provide collaborative leadership for the medical providers and nursing staff. Health care today places increasing importance on teams of health care providers and nursing staff working together to treat patients, promote wellness and manage chronic diseases.

Judith Treharne
Vice-president of Oragizational Development

Judy Treharne began work in August as the vice-president of organizational development at Fairview Red Wing Health Services. In the position she is responsible for human resources, community outreach and a variety of other services within the organization.
