The Sleep Lab at Fairview Red Wing Medical Center uses advanced technologies to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders in a restful, comfortable setting. You will sleep in a private room, furnished like a bedroom at home, right down to the high-quality cotton linens and furnishings.
Do I need a sleep study?
Many people who are evaluated for sleep disorders suffer from a variety of symptoms, including:
• Fatigue
• Hypersomnia (Excessive daytime sleepiness )
• Insomnia
• Loud snoring
• Narcolepsy
• Restless Legs Syndrome (Abnormal behaviors and limb movements during sleep)
• Restless sleep
• Sleep Apnea (Irregularities and pauses in breathing during sleep)

The Sleep Lab uses state-of-the-art technology to monitor your sleep patterns to diagnose you and form your treatment plan. Your doctor will determine which study, or combination of studies, is best for you. We offer:
• Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP) study
• Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) study
• Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)
• Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
• Polysomnograph
• Split Night Study
How do I get a sleep study?
Talk to your doctor to find out if you need a sleep study. Some insurance companies require your doctor to refer you for a sleep study consultation to see if you qualify for a sleep study. Using the information gained from the consultation, your doctor may schedule your appointment at our sleep lab.
