Fairview Red Wing’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is committed to supporting your well-being by providing free, confidential short-term counseling and referrals for personal and professional concerns, including relationships, stress, work, depression, anxiety, parenting and other issues. In addition to individual counseling services, EAP provides consultation and education to work teams and leaders. All employees and their family members are eligible for this service at no charge to them.

Talking with an EAP counselor helps you sort out your concerns about any personal or professional issue, think through alternatives and explore options. EAP’s services include:

- Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) program—support for work groups and individuals who have experienced a traumatic event at work
- Preventing Workplace Violence (PWPV) program—education and support for a respectful and violence-free workplace

EAP offers in-person and telephone appointments as well as same-day callbacks. Our offices are located at Fairview Red Wing Professional and Community Center. In addition, we provide after-hours crisis services.

Well-being tips you can use now
- Resilience: Learn to overcome adversity by identifying your unique skills, your support system and your strengths in problem solving.
- Stress: Manage stress by balancing physical relaxation with monitoring self-talk. Positive self-talk makes most things manageable.
- Depression: Remember that depression is an illness that deserves to be treated. If you have a depressed or down mood and have less interest in things you typically enjoy, get help.
- Co-worker relationships: Relationships with co-workers are like all other relationships. Treat each other with the utmost respect, listen carefully to concerns and talk through conflicts.
- Self-esteem: Self-esteem means being honest about who you are and valuing yourself. Recognize your unique gifts and understand your unique challenges.
- Grief in the workplace: Dealing with loss in the workplace can be very difficult. Make sure you acknowledge the loss and express your concern. Support others in dealing with grief.
